Winnie the Pooh Baby quilt  June 2004

I took a "Winnie The Pooh" cloth book panel from Walmart and cut it up to make this quilt. I used the Twist 'n Turn method (by Sharon Squier Craig) to set the blocks. Very easy method and fun to do! I quilted it by machine, stipple quilting to resemble bee trails in the blocks and straight line quilting for the sashings. Border was quilted in a meandering pattern with little baby footprints in each corner.
I didn't get a photo of the finished quilt. I finished it at 11pm the night before the baby shower! LOL

Really fun and easy "iron-on bias tape" technique

" Quilt for a Cure" quilt top. My sister and I bought the same kit at the Houston Quilt Festival. We wanted to make something that would be a "sister" quilt so we could sit and sew together long distance. She lives in Florida. I live in California.  I have the best big sister in the whole world!
My first Mystery Quilt. I put the borders on upside down! I might unsew them and turn them around.

I made this wallhanging for my mom August, 2004. I loved my grandparents so much, (her mom and dad), and had sweet memories of their home with the azaleas and such. I remember how pretty the hydrangaes were and loved the blue ones. When I saw that Bella Nonna had made the flower petals, I had to make this for mom.  She loved it!   Happy Birthday, Mom.
